Superior Abrasives is looking for a machine operator with advanced manufacturing skills to join our team. Essential Functions:
  • Load/unload material on/off machine with overhead gantry crane
  • Utilize advanced measuring skills during machine set up
  • Operate a hand scanner
  • Read and decipher production work orders
  • May be called upon to cross train other employees
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cross-training projects
  • Keep work area clean
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
  Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Operate overhead crane
  • Operate forklift
  • Advanced measuring skills
  • Proficient in basic math
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to traverse warehouse and access shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures
  Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in manufacturing
  • Computer literacy a plus
